Update since the meeting

16/9/2016

Following on from Mondays meeting, there a couple of things to update you all with:

Firstly a request; Please do talk to your neighbours and friends about the planning process and how we really need everyone to get involved. Without your input the plan will be meaningless. So visit www.wanp.org.uk, keep your eye on the News page and follow through on some of the links on the Research page as these contain invaluable guidance and insight to the process.

If you have suggestions for the site, just let me know

OK some news

As discussed on Monday, the Districts’ Draft Local Plan is about to be released for consultation. EFDC have created a website with all the information you will need so keep your eye on that website also as it will be constantly updated as we go through the consultation phase.
http://eppingforest.consultationonline.co.uk/

The timeline for the Draft Local Plan shows that it will go before full council on the 18th October.

From 22nd October, a newsletter will be issued to all addresses in the district to ensure that everyone receives notification of the consultation events and how to get involved.

There will be a static exhibition setup in Waltham Abbey Library throughout the consultation period (1st November – 18th December)

There will also be a Staffed Exhibition to be held in Waltham Abbey Town Hall on Monday 14th November 3:30pm – 8pm.

During our meeting on Monday, it was felt that the next meeting should be held after we had had the opportunity to digest some of the Draft Local Plan, the date for this meeting has yet to be determined, but we shall of course notify you in plenty of time.

Meanwhile, if any of you think a more informal get together to chat through the various issues raised on Monday would be helpful, please do get in touch with me either at info@wanp.org.uk or sam.kane@wacg.info

That’s it for now

Regards

Cllr. Sam Kane
